RAYMARINE® FUSION® Brings On-Screen Audio Control to Popular Multifunction Displays
Raymarine, world leaders in marine electronics, and FUSION®, a worldwide leader in marine entertainment, announced today the imminent arrival of FUSION-Link support for the new generation of Raymarine multi-function displays (MFDs). Designed to provide full on-screen control of a FUSION 700 Series stereo over an Ethernet network, FUSION-Link-enabled Raymarine displays allow owners to experience and access on board entertainment like never before.
Available as a dedicated function on Raymarine a, c and e Series, Fusion’s award-winning ‘True Marine’ FUSION-Link provides full access to iPod/iPhone music libraries via track, artist, album (with artwork) and playlist, and allows boaters to navigate all other stereo sources including AM/FM, VHF, USB and AUX. Delivering multi-zone audio configuration, Raymarine users can adjust the individual audio zones of a vessel separately or together, including control of volume, bass, midrange and treble levels.
“Fusion-link integration brings Raymarine owners new levels of functionality to their boating experience,” said Chris Baird, CEO, Fusion Electronics. “Our audio solution is unrivalled, and when combined with the ease of access available on Raymarine systems it makes for the perfect accompaniment to a great day on the water!”
Chris Jones, Raymarine’s Director of Product Management, said, “Raymarine are excited to be working with Fusion Electronics to provide a seamless integration between stereo and marine navigation. Combined with smartphone and tablet wireless control, Raymarine is now adding even more flexibility to the fingertips of our customers.”
FUSION-Link-enabled Raymarine MFDs are previewing at METS on Raymarine stand 01.111 and FUSION stand 02.133.
Scheduled for release in January 2013, FUSION-Link for Raymarine a, c and e Series devices will be enabled via a free software update, Lighthouse v6, available through Raymarine.com. For more information on Raymarine and its award-winning line of multifunction displays, visit www.raymarine.com.
