Raymarine congratulates Bill Lowen, of Brookville, Indiana who was Raymarine’s top finisher at the 2016 Geico Bassmaster Classic held March 4-6 on Grand Lake ‘O the Cherokees near Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Lowen finished 4th overall with a total catch of 45.11 pounds.  Lowen was at the top of the field all weekend, and briefly led the tournament on Sunday afternoon before being bumped to 4th overall.

New to the Raymarine team, Lowen’s Skeeter tournament Bass Boat is equipped with Raymarine eS-Series multifunction displays as well as CHIRP SideVision™ and DownVision™ sonar systems. 

In total, 6 Raymarine Pro-Ambassadors qualified for the tournament in a field of 55 anglers.   John Crews finished 20th, 2012 Champion Chris Lane 24th, Brandon Lester 28th, Bernie Schultz 32nd and Chris Zaldain 41st.  Held annually, the Bassmaster classic is heralded as the Super Bowl of Bass fishing.  55 anglers from across the United States and Canada descended upon Tulsa, Oklahoma to determine who would be crowned the 2016 Bassmaster Classic Champion.

The Bassmaster Elite Series’ first 2016 regular-season tournament starts March 17th on the St. Johns River in Palatka, Florida.
