No. The RCU-1 is only compatible with Evolution-series pilots. SPX, X-Series and older Seatalk-1 autopilots are not compatible.

Yes. Standard NiMh or NiCd rechargeable batteries can be used in it, if desired. Charge them externally.
The WG-1 is fitted with a standard NMEA 2000 DeviceNet connector. WG-1 includes a 1-meter SeaTalk NG to DeviceNet adapter cable in the box
