Learn moreMechanical linear autopilot drives for mid to large sized boats
Mechanical linear drives provide powerful thrust, fast hard-over times and quiet operation.
Mounted below-decks, the linear drive moves the rudder directly by pushing on the boat's tiller arm or rudder quadrant. When the autopilot is disengaged, the drive's electro-mechanical clutch releases to allow smooth, unobstructed hand-steering.
The fixed end of the linear drive is secured to the boat's structural members, while the dynamic end attaches to the rudder stock or quadrant using an independent tiller arm. Accessory fittings from your steering system manufacturer may be required to complete your installation.
Raymarine offers linear drives in multiple sizes and power configurations to fit a wide array of vessels.
