A more personal, configurable and connected boating experience.
LightHouse 5 brings a fresh new experience to Axiom 2, Axiom 2 Pro and Axiom 2 XL chartplotters with powerful new customization tools, easier onboard data management and expanded support for modern connected systems.
Whether you're cruising, fishing, sailing or exploring new boating technologies, LightHouse 5 gives you more control over how information is displayed and organized, helping you tailor your electronics to the way you use your boat.
At the heart of LightHouse 5 is the all-new Data app, a flexible and highly customizable environment for creating information displays that match your vessel and boating style.
Build pages using gauges, graphs, digital values and other visual elements, then arrange them exactly where you want them. Start with ready-made templates for navigation, sailing, fishing, engine monitoring and electric propulsion, or create your own custom layouts from scratch.
The result is a more personalized experience that puts the information you care about exactly where you need it.
Modern boats often have multiple sensors, instruments and connected devices all sharing information across the network.
LightHouse 5 introduces a new Data Sources menu that makes it easier to see where information is coming from and manage connected devices throughout the system.
Users can quickly identify preferred data sources while also gaining centralized access to supported batteries, tanks, generators and onboard sensors, making complex networks easier to understand and manage.
The new Data app is complemented by a redesigned data selection experience.
LightHouse 5 now allows users to search for data items by typing all or part of a name, making it faster to locate information among hundreds of available data points. Reorganized data categories also help streamline setup and customization.
LightHouse 5 expands home screen customization with support for animated video backgrounds.
Boaters can now personalize their Axiom 2 displays with dynamic video backgrounds while continuing to use custom images and existing network-sharing capabilities. It's another way LightHouse 5 helps make every system feel uniquely your own.
Owners of Mercury-powered boats will appreciate additional integration enhancements in LightHouse 5.
New configuration options for Mercury Precision Joystick systems and expanded Skyhook controls provide greater flexibility while maneuvering and station keeping. These refinements help operators tailor system behavior to their preferences and operating conditions.
As electric propulsion becomes more common across the marine industry, LightHouse 5 makes electric propulsion data easier to access and customize than ever before.
New purpose-built electric propulsion pages within the Data app bring key information such as battery state of charge, motor power and remaining operating range into one convenient location, while making customization easier than previous generations.
LightHouse 5 is designed exclusively for:
LightHouse 5 is not compatible with first-generation:
Boaters operating mixed networks that contain both first-generation Axiom displays and Axiom 2 displays should remain on LightHouse 4.11, which is the final software release supporting mixed-generation Axiom networks.
When upgrading to LightHouse 5, all networked chartplotters should be running compatible software versions.
LightHouse 5 is being released alongside Alpha Performance Display software version 3.3.39.
Boaters using both Alpha Performance Displays and Axiom 2 chartplotters should update both products at the same time to ensure compatibility and access to the latest integration enhancements.
LightHouse 5 is available now for Axiom 2 series chartplotters. Updating is easy and can be accomplished in 2 different ways:
